1. A credit card must be added to your account.

  2. All requests for packages will be reviewed and approved by the support team before the infrastructure is provisioned.

Request a package

  1. To get started with hosted apps please navigate to Hosting -> Apps.

  2. Newly requested application will show as the following in the console. Once ready, the state will be green.

Admin Login

  1. To access the WordPress Admin panel copy the "DNS Name" into your web browser and add a "/wp-admin" at the end of the url.

  2. The WordPress admin console login page will be presented.

  3. Request the admin login credentials via Tasks button.

  4. Select "Request wp admin credentials" and "Request."

  5. You are now logged into the WordPress admin console.

Site Migration

  1. This guide assumes you already have a backup of your WordPress site. If not, you can leverage any number of WordPress plugins like BackWPup

  2. We do not support WordPress Multisite in our WordPress auto scaled hosting solution.

SFTP File Restore

  1. Request an SFTP host Tasks button.

  2. Select Request SFTP, enter your IP address and a password, then press Request. You can find your ip address by using this site:

  3. Once provisioned, the SFTP connection details will show up in the console.

  4. For details on how to connect over SFTP see the SFTP user guide.

  5. Navigate to the www directory.

  6. Copy your files over with the exception of any .sql files or the wp-config.php file. Copying your wp-config.php file over will overwrite the existing database configurations and cause the site to fail.

Database Restore

Leveraging the database.sql file from the backups described in step 1 from above, connect to the database and run a restore.

  1. Collect the DB endpoint and user name.

  2. Request the database password from Tasks.

  3. Connect to the database. For details on how to connect to the database see the database user guide.

  4. Select the database.

  5. Load your backup sql file previously generated.

  6. Navigate to your sql file and open it.

  7. Execute the sql file.

Configurations (OPTIONAL)

Administration over SSL

To easily enable (and enforce) WordPress administration over SSL, you need to define the following in your site's wp-config.php file.

Disk Caching


For improved performance on your WordPress site, please enable disk based Page Caching from the W3 Total Cache Plugin.

  1. Active the W3 Total Cache plugin.

  2. Once Activated, navigate to Performance.

  3. Next select General Settings.

  4. Under the Page Cache section, Select Enable, set the method to "Disk: Basic" and then save all settings.
